Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis have returned to the classroom after the lengthy summer holiday, which likely brought back memories of a funny incident during a previous trip to their educational establishment.

The young royals all began attending Lambrook School in Berkshire following the family’s move to Adelaide Cottage in Windsor Park.

They commenced their new school journey in 2022, with then four-year-old Louis looking dapper in his school attire as he joined his family for the walk.

A memorable snap from that period shows little Louis clasping his mother Kate’s hand while his dad, Prince William, walks on his other side. When William tries to offer his hand as well, Louis famously snubbed it, opting to gaze straight ahead instead.

William gracefully accepted the rebuff, patting Louis affectionately on the head. Shortly after, they were greeted by headteacher Jonathan Perry, who warmly welcomed them: “Welcome to Lambrook, it’s lovely to have you with us. We’re very excited for the year ahead.”

This marked the first occasion for the siblings to be at the same school simultaneously, with Louis embarking on his pre-prep years and his elder siblings starting in the prep school.

Renowned for its rigorous academic standards, Lambrook is a co-educational private establishment that boasts an extensive selection of 178 LAMDA lessons weekly and 420 individual music sessions ranging from tap dance to bagpipes, reports the Mirror.

On top of its academics, Lambrook is dedicated to sustainability; each class maintains its own vegetable plot and participates in classes focused on ecology and the food chain.

Earlier this summer, Prince George, aged 10, was seen visiting Eton, his father’s old school, where the annual fees are a hefty £46,000. Kate was spotted chatting with two staff members of the prestigious and historic institution, looking elegant in an aquamarine dress and ballet pumps, according to Hello! magazine.

The family were positioned near an archway, next to a sign that reads: ‘Porters’ Lodge’. Previous reports about the school reveal that beyond these doors lies the school yard, home to a statue of the college’s founder, King Henry VI.

Prince William was the first senior royal to attend Eton, followed by his younger brother Harry, who studied there from 1998 to 2003. The school is one of only three public schools that remain boys-only, alongside Harrow and Radley, and boasts alumni such as George Orwell and Eddie Redmayne.

Furthermore, it has educated 20 British Prime Ministers, including Boris Johnson and David Cameron.
