A Scots holiday flight to Turkey was diverted due to a mid-air incident.

The Jet2 flight, from Edinburgh Airport to Dalaman, was forced to divert in Cologne in Germany on Tuesday night, October 8.

It is understood a passenger on-board became disruptive and had to be offloaded in Germany before the flight could continue to Turkey later that evening. The LS781 flight arrived three hours later than planned.

As reported in Edinburgh Live, the flight left Edinburgh shortly after 4pm as scheduled. It was due to touch down in Dalaman at around 10.30pm but instead left Cologne at 9.30pm.

Jet2 has been approached for comment.
