With autumn making its presence felt, many are dreaming of some sunshine.

Rainy days and falling temperatures tend to bring on a bit of the blues. This is why lots of people start scouring for budget-friendly breaks at this stage of the year.

A Turkey local has taken to social media to flaunt the country’s autumnal appeal that might just entice travellers. It seems it’s just as good as summer in this sunny part of the world.

On TikTok, user @ mediterraneanproperty recently highlighted the advantages of visiting Turkey in its off-peak season. The expert in property showcased that, despite potential rain in the evenings, one can wake up to a warm 32C sun the following day.

The footage from the well-known travel spot underscores the still-sizzling temperatures. If you don’t mind the odd rainfall, then you’re in for a treat.

However, the content creator cautions viewers about possible evening downpours, so an umbrella should be part of your pack-list, along with some warmer wear for when it gets nippier at night.

Despite a drop in temperature, there’s a keen interest in people who want to visit Turkey. Several claim the autumn weather is just right for them.

An individual enquired: “I go 21st October for a week. Is it still hot?” To which the TikToker replied, reassuringly: “Yes, it’s hot daytime. Cooler nights, but not cold.” Another user expressed their yearning to visit, commenting: “Would love to live in Turkey from October to April.”

One more recently returned holidaymaker shared their enthusiasm, writing: “Just home – was 36 on Sunday. So so hot – love it.” Contrastingly, another is looking forward to different weather, posting: “Bring it on – am ready for some rain.”

The post comes after a warning for Brits planning to visit Turkey has been issued after recent reports of a significant scam targeting tourists. TikTok user Scott, who goes by the handle official_scottylum2, uploaded footage discussing what visitors to Armutalan, Marmaris should be cautious of.

The TikToker, who shares his experiences in Turkey, urges holidaymakers to exercise caution with something specifically in Armutalan, Marmaris. Despite never discouraging anyone from visiting due to its appealing atmosphere, he has highlighted the necessity of vigilance during their stay.

He advised in the video: “Try to not bring your bank card out. Me personally, I got scammed for a considerable amount of money. I’m not even going to go into it, but be careful of people looking at you while you type your card number in.

“Be very vigilant here. Now, also be very careful of the drinks here. I’ve made a video about this before. Just be very careful with them.”
