Gordon Ramsay just sampled Dua Lipa’s ‘gross’ cocktail recipe of Diet Coke, pickle juice, and jalapeno juice along with crunchy vegetable garnishes. It’s safe to say, he wasn’t impressed.
The Kitchen Nightmares star, 57, thought he’d give the drink a whirl on TikTok after the Houdini singer, 29, posted her divisive recipe and fans went wild for it – some with admiration, and others pure disgust.
Posting a video on social media, Gordon narrated as he went, saying he was popping those savoury juices into the Diet Coke, along with a garnish of actual pickles and jalapenos.
But the moment it touched his lips, Gordon let out the most dramatic cartoon spit ever and proceeded to hang his head to the floor, gag, and cough. We don’t think he liked it much.
Still leaning over, Gordon shouted: ‘Dua Lipa for god’s sake girl you’ll ruin your vocal cords!
Some fans laughed at Gordon’s attempt to get on the viral trend, while others said he got the quantities totally wrong – as in her original video Dua only put a dash of the juices in compared to his liberal measurements.
‘He put way too much pickle juice and jalapeño juice but its still a s**t drink,’ said @IliaZaatar10, while @poplipa said: ‘literally everyone i seen do this put way too much of the jalapeño and pickle juice.’
In her original video detailing her bizarre concoction, Dua explained the steps as her friends tried the drink, with some more impressed than others.
‘That is mmm,’ Dua said as she sipped the cocktail and munched on the pickles and jalapenos.
‘This just ruined my day,’ commented X user @johnsummit, while @babenataliemey said: ‘That sounds like a total wild combo. idk if i could handle that mix tho.’
‘Tell her to stay where she is the police are on their way,’ said @thealexjohnson
@MapleEngineer and others simply wrote, ‘Gross,’ as @itsLailaGomez1 said: ‘That’s disgusting.’
However, some sweet and salty lovers were on board with the combo, as @thedeitydiaries wrote, ‘That looks firree,’ and @missysinghsongs added: ‘This actually sounds good.’
Gordon is quite the TikTokker, with 40million followers, and sometimes posts funny videos, recently reacting to a fellow app user’s big beef wellington reveal in a side-by-side clip.
He’s previously come to Brooklyn Beckham’s defense after he was mocked online for his food-fluincer posts, where he makes dishes including a, er, sandwich and a ‘raw’ joint of beef.
In an interview with the Mail Online, the celebrity chef said: ‘Brooklyn has grown up with my kids and is the son of dear friends of ours. I haven’t seen the video of his supposedly “raw” beef.
‘But even as a 12-year-old, whilst playing football, Brooklyn was always excited about food. So I’m pleased that he’s gone down that road and he’s found something he really enjoys doing.’
This comes after the Next Level Chef star’s daughter Holly got engaged to Olympic swimmer Adam Peaty as she showed off a huge sparkler.
Taking to social media with his congratulations, Gordon said: ‘Congratulations to this gorgeous girl @hollyramsayy….so happy for you and @adam_peaty.
