Chad Michael Murray is about to give Channing Tatum a run for his money in the Magic Mike stakes, if his new Christmas movie is anything to go by.
Netflix has announced that they will be hotting things up this winter with the latest in a very long line of festive flicks, titled the Merry Gentlemen.
The One Tree Hill legend, 43, will be leading the cast as Luke alongside Britt Robertson, Beth Broderick and Michael Gross, with Peter Sullivan serving as director.
It follows Ashley (Britt), a former dancer from the ‘big city’ who attempts to save her parents’ performing arts venue by putting on a Christmas-themed ‘revue’ with an all-male cast.
Basically if Magic Mike was set at Christmas, with a sprinkling of Coyote Ugly…
Bosses dropped the first pictures from the Merry Gentlemen on social media earlier today – including several of a topless Chad performing routines – and immediately sent everyone into a spin.
A message from the official Twitter account read: ‘Britt Robertson and Chad Michael Murray try to save a small-town performing venue by staging an all-male, Christmas-themed revue in new holiday film The Merry Gentlemen.
‘You can go ahead and mark your calendar for November 20.’
Fans couldn’t get their calendars up quick enough, flocking to the replies to celebrate our new favorite film.
Wonderfulgarb wrote: ‘A Christmas-themed Magic Mike? I’m here for it.’
Cesar penned: ‘I have a strict “No Christmas before December 1st” rule but I will make an exception for Chad Michael Murray.’

The official synopsis reads: ‘To save her parents’ small-town performing venue, a former big-city dancer decides to stage an all-male, Christmas-themed revue.’
Lifting the lid on what we can expect, Britt teased: ‘My character, Ashley, decides to take her skill as a dancer and choreographer and marries that with some hot dudes at the bar to make The Merry Gentlemen show.
‘She may or may not save the bar…’
‘When I read the script, I was like, “This is my kind of Christmas movie!,’ she joked.
‘I didn’t even have to do any of the burlesque. I get to just watch a bunch of very talented dudes do it.’
