Big Brother viewers have pointed out that one contestant may be a bit misplaced on the show.

Some viewers have even raised concerns, suggesting that it was a ‘red flag’ instance as they hinted that perhaps the individual had intended to audition for a different reality TV programme.

When Marcello garnered praise from another participant for his culinary skills, he took the chance to ‘flirt’, stating: “I used to be a chef. That’s how I seduce all my women.”

A number of those tuning in speculated that he would have been more suited applying for Love Island, reports MyLondon.

One individual remarked on X, the platform that replaced Twitter: “Marcello realised he’s too old for love island so he came to big brother instead.” (sic)

Echoing this sentiment, another commented: “Someone needs to tell Marcello that this is not love island and it is indeed big brother.”(sic)

However, not all feedback was positive; a viewer noted that such behaviour signalled a ‘red flag’.

Voicing their opinion online, someone critiqued: “Marcello is giving off incredibly big, red flag vibes. The way he talks about women is high key concerning.” (sic)

From the moment of the live launch, the housemates were divided into two factions almost instantly upon entrance.

They had to choose between joining the blue or red teams, which eventually identified them as either Housemates or Non-Housemates, setting the stage for a string of competitive tasks.

Yesterday’s episode revealed Dean, Nathan, Ryan and Baked Potato (Rosie) as the first housemates up for public vote to be evicted from the house by week’s end.

The eviction voting commenced last night, with fans only able to cast their votes through the Big Brother app, where they’re asked to select who they’d like to see leave the house.

This Friday will witness the first eviction from the Big Brother house, with hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best catching all the juicy details in the first live interview on Big Brother: Late and Live following the event.

Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX followed by Big Brother: Late & Live at 10pm.
