Senior pupils at a Coatbridge school shone during their moment in the well-earned spotlight.
St Ambrose High held its latest awards ceremony honouring the achievements of S4-6 students.
The talented pupils were recognised in a variety of subjects and Special Award winners included Olivia Grace McAllister scooping the Endeavour Award and Emma Connolly taking home the Active Citizenship Award.
Head teacher James McParland told Lanarkshire Live: “We celebrated at the ceremony with our winners and their families and friends, along with our invited guests – Norrie Innes, former Ambrosian and guest speaker, Gerard McLaughlin, chief officer for education and families at North Lanarkshire Council, Jan McCrone, education and families manager for St Ambrose, and Father Kenny O’Brien, our school Chaplain.
“I would like to offer my congratulations to all of the award winners, and a sincere thank you to all members of our school community who contributed to the ceremony to celebrate their success.
“The young people we celebrate not only epitomise our school values of Fortitude, Ambition, Integrity, Truth, and Holiness, but they also contribute well beyond their academic achievements, through supporting charitable ventures within local, national, and international communities, and to the daily life and work of our school.
“It has been a joy working with these young people and we wish them all the success they rightly deserve.”
