Alastair Campbell has delighted fans after playing the Flower of Scotland on the bagpipes at The Rest Is Politics Live Show.

Mr Campbell, who co-hosts The Rest Is Politics podcast with former Conservative cabinet minister Rory Stewart, broke into a rendition of the iconic Scots tune at the live show on the UK tour in Glasgow.

The popular podcast made their stop at the Glasgow SEC Armadillo on October 12 where Alastair accompanied by co-host Rory Stewart on the drums played for the Scots audience.

In the video, the two can be seen on stage, filling the room with the powerful sound of Scotland’s anthem while members of the crowd sing along.

Although Alastair, from West Yorkshire, didn’t get in the full outfit for the performance, sporting a suit instead, they certainly impressed the crowd.

Days later at the show in Cardiff the hosts pulled of a similar stunt pleasing the Welsh audience with a performance of the Welsh anthem on bagpipes too.

The live show concludes tonight at London the O2. You can find out more about the podcast here.
