BBC Radio 2’s Vernon Kay has delighted listeners with his heartwarming family stories, describing how he’s pampered by wife Tess Daly and their daughters when feeling ill.

Speaking on his Tuesday show, he admitted: “I’ve got to say that when I am poorly, they treat me like a King my girls, they really do”. The popular 50-year-old presenter, much-loved for his anecdotes since joining BBC Radio 2 last year, also admitted to being scolded at home for not always offering the same level of care, the Mirror reports.

Vernon added with a laugh: “Sometimes I get shouted at because it’s not reciprocated, I think is the right word.” Despite admitting he might not be as devoted in looking after everyone else, he often jokes about making up for it: “You know, I apologise on a regular basis, so yeah, there you go, they really do look after me.”
