Clare Haughey MSP added a splash of colour to her usual Holyrood attire in support of Breast Cancer Now’s Wear it Pink campaign.
The Rutherglen constituency MSP was joined by other parliamentarians to raise awareness of breast cancer, learn more about breast cancer in Scotland, and to encourage others to take part in Wear it Pink events during Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“Every 10 minutes, someone hears the words ‘you have breast cancer’ – there are over 4,200 new cases diagnosed in Scotland every year,” said Clare.
“Wear it Pink Wear is a great way to come together with friends and family to have fun whilst raising money for Breast Cancer Now’s world-class research and life-changing support.
“I am proud to further raise awareness of the impact of the disease locally, and to support and advocate for Breast Cancer Now’s research.
“Breast cancer affects so many people in Rutherglen and Cambuslang. I know that many local schools, workplaces and organisations support the Breast Cancer Now each year by adding a little pink to their outfits and fundraising for this worthy cause, and all of their efforts should be commended.”
