Liam Payne’s touching tweet about his son Bear has resurfaced following the star’s tragic passing. The singer, 31, sadly died in Argentina late on Wednesday night.

It was confirmed that the One Direction icon fell to his death from the third floor of a hotel in Buenos Aires, while on holiday in the Argentinian capital with girlfriend Kate Cassidy.

It is believed that he was staying in the upmarket neighbourhood of Palermo at the time. A body was found in a patio inside the ground of the hotel, with Liam thought to have fallen between 13 and 14 metres, The Mirror reports.

The singer is said to have suffered “very serious injuries incompatible with life.” A local ambulance manager told Argentinian news channel Todo Noticias: “At 17.04, through the 911 integrated public safety system, we were alerted of a person who was in an internal courtyard of the management of a south house hotel..”

In the hours following his tragic death, devastated fans began re-sharing some of Liam’s social media posts. One of the most heartbreaking was a picture posted on X, formerly Twitter, earlier this year about the hopes and dreams of his son Bear.

In the image, Bear – Liam’s son with Girls Aloud legend Cheryl – could be seen looking at a billboard in London’s Leicester Square, which bore a photo of Liam promoting his single Teardrops. The proud dad shared his son’s message in the post, writing: “I want to be on a billboard one day daddy.”
