High street fashion favourite, New Look, is turning heads with a bag stunningly similar to a designer piece. Well known for it’s affordable, on-trend fashion, the retailer may have just released a new fan-favourite with its Tan Borg Trim Link Hobo Bag, which shares striking features with a high-end YSL design but comes at a much more wallet-friendly price.
The New Look offering is priced at a modest £28, while fans of the YSL small Le 5 à 7 suede shoulder bag would need to fork out a hefty £2,065 when shopping online. Both bags boast a faux suede appearance complemented by shearling trims, elegant gold hardware, an adjustable strap, and practical magnetic fastening.
Although the YSL creation sports genuine leather in comparison to the high street’s leather-look option, both styles feature distinctive gold link detailing on the front, with the YSL bag further adorned with the iconic brand logo. The high street alternative also has a larger build than the YSL piece.
New Look’s product description said: “Update your seasonal wardrobe with this borg trim hobo bag. Slip the adjustable strap over the shoulder to add the final touch to your layered look.”
