BLACKSBURG, Va. (WDBJ) – The Hokies are celebrating the milestone of 30 years of Thursday night football games.
ESPN’s Sportscenter held its afternoon show outside Dietrick Hall highlighting the anniversary.
Dozens of fans and alumni popped in to watch and join in on the celebration.
Fans were honored to have Sportscenter on campus. They said Thursday night football games brought Virginia Tech to the forefront on ESPN.
They also said since the energy on Thursday was high, they have high hopes Hokies will pull off a win against Boston College.
