While Christmas is still a little while away, that hasn’t stopped Boots from dropping prices across its hugely popular festive Star Gifts range.

If you’re skin is in need of a winter pick-me-up, or you need a gift for a skincare buff, then there is The Ordinary’s Hydrate & Brighten Set. Usually retailing at £59.30, it can be yours for just £29 – an incredible £39.30 saving off the RRP.

Praised as “great value for money”, this kit gets you five of the skincare firm’s bestselling products, with four of them being full-size. Skincare hero ingredients glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid and squalene leave your skin “hydrated” and “brighter”.

The star of the set is the brand’s “most loved all-in-one cleanser”, the Squalene Cleanser. Worth £14.50 on its own, this balm texture has been designed to remove any makeup and impurities from your skin without stripping its moisture barrier.

You’ll also find the brand’s popular Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5. This serum, worth £15.50 for 60ml, offers “instant hydration” and “plump” skin. If you suffer from puffy eyes, then also included is the Caffeine Solution 5% + EGCG to “brighten tired eyes.”

To keep your skin hydrated throughout the cold winter’s day, there is the Natural Moisturizing Factors + HA, which is worth £6.10. Last, but not least, there is also travel-friendly size of the popular Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner to boost radiance and reduce dullness.

With incredible savings on some of the skincare brand’s best loved formulas, it’s understandable why the Hydrate & Brighten Set has received glowing praise from Boots customers who say it is “a great Christmas gift” and “great value”.

One five-star review read: “I have been using the hyaluronic acid serum for months and it is honestly one of my must have products so this Hydrate & Brighten Set is the complete package. With a cleanser, exfoliator and moisturiser this set really does it all! It includes full sized products so is such good value for money plus it makes a great gift for Christmas!”

A second shopper praised: “This is my first experience with The Ordinary range and I am not disappointed! The five different items compliment each other perfectly and all are light weight and easily absorb into my skin. Even after only a couple of weeks of use I can already see the difference in my skin and I am even wearing less makeup as a result! I would definitely recommend.”

Someone else added: “This is such a fantastic set and is great value for money. I’ve used the ordinary products before with the exception of the eye serum. The moisturiser and the hyaluronic acid are my favourites.”

While there aren’t any negative reviews, one user did comment that the products didn’t suit their skin type. They said: “This is a great set. Good value for the money and a nice combination of items. After a couple of weeks of using this my skin felt much softer but unfortunately I also had a few spots so I have now stopped using it.

“Definitely more to do with my skin type than the set which I would still recommend.”
