Boxing fans are in for a barnstormer this evening, as Adam Azim faces friend-turned-rival Ohara Davies.

Both men came up through the ranks of east London’s famed Peacock Gym before embarking on their stellar professional boxing careers, and there’s more on the line than just bragging rights between the two hard hitters. Azim will stake his flawless 11-0 record when he meets ‘Two Tanks’ Davies (25-3) in the English capital this evening – and both men are eyeing a title shot in the near future.

Azim has already won and defended the European title in record time, and boasts eight knockouts to his name over the likes of Enock Poulsen, Franck Petitjean and Rylan Charlton to name but a few. Davies, meanwhile, has held the British and Commonwealth titles in his impressive career – and will hope to prove a point after missing out on the WBA Interim Super Lightweight title to Ismael Barroso earlier this year.

While Azim reportedly looked up to Davies – ten years his senior – on the come up, the two will no doubt skip the formalities and leave it all in the squared circle this evening when they go to war at east London’s Copper Box Arena. On the undercard, Anthony Yarde returns to the ring for the first time since his win over Marko Nikolic in February – slowly but surely picking up the pieces from his IBF, WBC and WBO light heavyweight title fight loss to Artur Beterbiev in January 2023.

He faces 17-1 Ralfs Vilcans. Elsewhere, Dan Azeez faces Lewis Edmondson for the British light heavyweight title, while Michael McKinson takes on Tulani Mbenge for the IBO welterweight strap. Here’s everything you need to know about the exciting night of fighting ahead.

Adam Azim: “The aim of the game is hit and don’t get hit. I’m not trying to get hit, that’s it. The main aim of the game of boxing is not trying to get hit, and I’m not trying to get hit.”

Ohara Davies: “I ain’t saying nothing bad about the guy. If I hit him, he might get knocked out, he might not get knocked out. Who knows? I ain’t got nothing bad to say about him, or his dad, or his brother. That’s it.”
