Veronika Murashkina, a Playboy model and former contestant on the Russian version of The Bachelor, has tragically passed away at the age of 31. Before her untimely death, the star had been battling lung disease and was awaiting a lung transplant.
Her health struggles began after she was left bedridden following a severe car accident. Despite being placed on an urgent waiting list for a lung transplant, Veronika’s life was cut short on Thursday, October 18.
A close friend confirmed her passing to local media, saying: “After the serious accident, her leg was literally put back together piece by piece.
“She was treated for a long time, stayed in clinics and recovered. It seemed that her troubles were finally in the past, but then a new one came when the lung disease hit her.
“Veronika was on the waiting list for a transplant, but she did not live to see it. This bright person passed away tonight,” reports the Mirror.
Veronika gained fame after appearing on the fifth season of The Bachelor on TNT in 2017, where she competed for the affections of actor Ilya Glinnikov.
