A new list of the “best restaurants in Glasgow” has been shared.

Scotland’s largest city is home to countless cafés, restaurants, and takeaways serving up every type of cuisine you could imagine. Naturally, if you aren’t sure what is good, it can be overwhelming trying to decide where to eat.

Food experts at renowned magazine Condé Nast Traveller have just revealed a list of the 27 top restaurants in Glasgow. The roundup, published on Sunday, includes everything from luxury fine-dining eateries to “cheap eats” where you can pick up top-quality food at a bargain price.

One of the low-cost restaurants included on Condé Nast Traveller’s list is VEGA on Argyll Street, which the publications described as “best for a cosmic culinary experience”. The trendy spot was singled out for its “heavily Mexican-accented menu”, “retro-futuristic” aesthetic, and cocktails.

Described on its website as a “sky-high bar and restaurant”, VEGA is a rooftop venue that offers views out over Glasgow’s skyline. It serves up a variety of hot dogs, burgers, and fries, as well as small plates such as haggis bon bons and croquettes.

VEGA also features Glasgow’s “only top-floor bowling lanes” that are open until 11pm every night. Meanwhile, it hosts regular events such as themed brunches and live music.

Elsewhere, another “cheap eat” venue included on Condé Nast Traveller’s list is Errol’s Hot Pizza on Victoria Road in Govanhill. According to the experts, the restaurant is the “best for world-class pizza”.

The small sit-in eatery features “thin and crispy” pizzas topped with classic toppings such as Italian sausage and white onion. It is also known for its unique BYOB policy, with the corkage fee priced at just £2.50.

On the other hand, for those after a more luxurious lunch or dinner, Condé Nast Traveller singled out Fallachan Kitchen on Eastvale Place. According to the magazine, the communal fine-dining spot is “best for a unique experience”.

Seating just 12 customers in its railway arch kitchen dining space, Fallachan Kitchen offers a tailored and bespoke dining experience. Highlights of its autumn tasting menu include west coast crab, hand-dived Barra scallop, and Borders partridge.

The full list of the 27 “best restaurants in Glasgow” can be found on the Condé Nast Traveller website.
