Responders said two of the cars were carrying gravel at the time of the incident.

AUSTIN, Texas — Several train cars derailed early Tuesday morning in Downtown Austin. 

Seven cars turned over around 3:45 a.m. off the train tracks by East Sixth Street and Robert T. Martinez Jr. Street, according to a social media post from the Austin Fire Department (AFD).

AFD said two of the cars contained gravel while the other five were not carrying anything. The train is made up of 90 cars total. 

Responders also said no injuries are reported at this time and no hazardous material was inside the cars. 

AFD, the Austin Police Department and the Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services (ATCEMS) are currently on scene.
