Queen of the South Ladies had a free weekend but will take on St Mirren Ladies in a Barclays SWFL League One fixture at Palmerston on Sunday.

Kick-off is 2pm but check social media for any possible alteration. St Mirren currently sit top of the league on 19 points from eight games, with Queens currently in fourth place with 15 points from seven games.

Last season Queens and St Mirren met twice at NWCC and Queens won 5-1 and 7-0, so optimism is high among the Queens squad.

The Dumfries team will have several influential players missing through injuries, but with a strong squad they should still have enough depth of talent to be reasonably confident.

Admission to the game is £2 for adults (U16s free). Spectators should note that the old stand will as usual be out of bounds, but there is plenty of covered seating in the east stand, as well as standing accommodation in the enclosure and the Portland Road terracing.
