East Kilbride Camera Club (EKCC) kicked off their league competition with a whopping 80 entries from members.
The competition theme was ‘Your Best Image’ with all photographs having been taken in the previous seven days.
Judge Dave Ferguson was tasked with critiquing and ranking entries and gave fabulous feedback for each image.
Winning the overall competition was Michelle McKenna Stewart with 20 points thanks to her impressive pictured called Little Bee Eater – a wonderful clear, crisp and very sharp image.
In joint second place with 19 points was Brian Watson with Cloch on the Clyde, Bill Higgins with Leafhopper, Iain McGroarty with Unusual Suspects and Robin Miller with Botanic Staircase.
In joint third place was John Woodburn with Wing Walkers, Linda McDougall with Loving Life, Faye McSpurren with Man in the Middle and Calum Steen with Scotland’s Chernobyl.
If you would like to join in and have some fun with photography head along on Monday evening from 7.30pm-9.30pm to the sports club in Calderglen Country Park for a cuppa, a biscuit and a chat.
Activities include workshops, internal and external competitions, themed nights, speakers, weekends away, days away, evenings out and much more.
EKCC also run tuition evenings on Thursdays for members in the same venue from 7.30pm-9.30pm.
