A popular kid’s football club is in the running for a top national award.

The West Lothian Football Academy has been shortlisted in the National What’s On For Kids Awards.

The club is in the ‘Most Loved Sport or Physical Activity – Franchisor or Independent’ category of the awards.

WLFA provides football coaching sessions for boys and girls from two to 15 years and promotes the development of basic football skills and techniques in a fun filled environment. All classes are taken by SFA qualified coaches.

It runs weekly soccer schools across West Lothian for school aged children as well as Tackling Tots classes for preschool boys and girls.

WLFA also runs soccer centres during all major school holidays to keep kids active, occupied and fit.

A spokesperson said: “WLFA is thrilled to announce that we are a finalist in the prestigious national What’s On For Kids Awards in the category of Most Loved Sport or Physical Activity – Franchisor or Independent.
