HENRICO, Va. (Gray News) – A former MTV reality TV star’s cause of death has been revealed.

According to multiple outlets, “16 and Pregnant star Autumn Crittendon died from toxicity from fentanyl and para/meta-fluorofentanyl toxicity.

The Virginia Department of Health ruled her death accidental, People reported.

Crittendon died in July at the age of 27.

Autumn (Oxley) Crittendon, a former cast member of MTV’s “16 and Pregnant” died at the age of 27.

First responders were called to a reported medical emergency around 3 p.m. on July 20 at a Henrico-area residence.

When officers arrived, they found Crittendon unresponsive inside the home and she was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crittendon is best known for starring in the fifth season of the popular reality show. She gave birth to her son on the program in 2014.

Since appearing on the show, Crittendon also welcomed another son and daughter.

MTV’s “Teen Mom” franchise released a statement in July saying they were “deeply saddened” to learn about her death.

“Our hearts go out to her family and friends during this difficult time,” the statement concluded.
