Getting an immaculate home generally means expending a ton of elbow grease, especially in the bathroom. If you’ve ever been scrubbing away at a spot on your hands and knees, you might have dreamed of having a motorised tool to save you the effort.

This Electric Spin Scrubber is that very tool, currently on on sale for £37.99 at Amazon, down from £57.99. With a rotating brush head revolving at 400rpm, you’ll make quick work of any dirt, grime and stains blighting your hard surfaces.

Bundled with eight scrubber heads to cover every eventuality, you’ll be well-equipped to tackle your bathroom, shower, counters, stove tops, sinks, glass, tiles and flooring. Although, that said, we recommend sterilising any brush heads you’ve used in the bathroom before moving to the kitchen.

With its detachable extension rod, you can adjust its reach from 30cm up to 137cm, helping to reach every corner with ease, even your ceilings. For close control, you can remove the extension rod entirely. Its lithium-ion battery will run for 90 minutes on a full charge, taking just two hours to juice up from flat to full. With two speed settings, running at either 300rpm or 400rpm, you could even extend this battery life by running it on the slower option.

The Mirror’s Joanna Kania tried it out at home and said: “I’m very impressed so far. I wanted something to tackle some stubborn black and green mould build-up on bathroom tiles as previous attempts with bathroom cleaning cloths, sponges and toothbrushes hadn’t done the trick.

“I also liked that it came with a handle so you can reach harder to get spots. On the first test it made a big difference and was very satisfying to see the tiles start to return to their former glory – used alongside ‘Pink Stuff’. It comes with so many other settings that it really is good value for money. I’m looking forward to testing it elsewhere around the house.”

With 4.2 out of 5 stars averaged from over 2,200 Amazon reviews, this Electric Spin Scrubber has already proven itself invaluable in thousands of households. “This electric spin scrubber is totally worth the money!” said one five-star review. “It’s well-built, really gets the job done, and the battery lasts ages. It’s super lightweight, so no hassle using it, and the design is easy to handle. Cleaning feels way quicker and way less effort now!”

“I must say this is an amazing cleaning tool I bought, does so many jobs,” said another happy customer. “Value for money. Good battery life very handy and lightweight. Very easy of assembly.”

Some users have been disappointed, however, with one Amazon review saying: “I tried it on outdoor furniture and it worked okay, but nothing spectacular. I liked the idea of all of the attachments, but none of them do a great job on different surfaces.” Another added: “It works well hand-held, but when you extend it to do the floors the angle is wrong.”

In terms of alternatives, The Dustpan and Brush Store has a similar product available for £29.99 (down from £39.99), while this premium-looking Bosch option is available for £51.99 from Currys.
