Liam Neeson may have special skills but he has revealed he is getting too old to come and find you.

The legendary actor is ready to retire from making action movies because he believes his stunts are no longer believable at his age.

Liam’s known for performing his own fight scenes though he does use a stunt double for bigger moments and he says it’s just not believable that he would be fighting bad guys in his 70s.

He also says he doesn’t want his stunt double Mark Vanselow fighting his fight scenes for him.

He said: “I’m 72. It has to stop at some stage. You can’t fool audiences… ‘Maybe the end of next year. I think that’s it.’

While he is ready to make his final action film in 2025, he stars in the new drama Absolution, about an aging gangster trying to reconnect with his children and atone for past mistakes which is out on November 1.

He is also in an upcoming reboot of the Naked Gun franchise and takes two months off each year from filming.

The Taken actor is also putting dating behind him, he tells People in a new interview with the US magazine.

The Oscar-nominated actor, who was married to actress Natasha Richardson from 1994 until her death aged 45 in 2009, said: “No, in a word. I’m past all that.”

Neeson found fame, at 41, in the film Schindler’s List. He became a go-to actor in the action genre after the Taken franchise took off,

After Richardson’s death following an accident, he briefly dated UK-based public relations executive Freya St. Johnston. Their relationship lasted two years.

Prior to meeting Richardson while working on the Broadway revival of the 1993 Broadway revival of Anna Christie, Neeson also dated the likes of Barbra Streisand, Brooke Shields and Helen Mirren who he co-starred alongside in the 1981 film Excalibur.

The pair dated for four years until 1985.

In 1999, he stepped into the Star Wars universe, portraying Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn in The Phantom Menace.

“I’m incredibly lucky,” Neeson said “I never, ever forget that. Even on a bad day on a movie set, for example, I always nip myself and say, ‘Come on, come on. You have nothing to complain about.’ And it’s true.”
