British actor Leo Woodall is gradually showcasing his acting prowess with roles in The White Lotus and One Day, and now he’s preparing for audiences to see him in an entirely new light.

The actor is set to star in a new conspiracy thriller series for Apple TV+ titled Prime Target, which will be released on the streaming service on January 22, 2025.

The eight-part series centres around Edward Brooks, a young Math graduate (portrayed by Leo), who stands on the brink of a significant breakthrough. If he can decipher a pattern in prime numbers, it could give him the key to every computer worldwide.

However, he starts to suspect that an invisible adversary is trying to sabotage his idea before it even takes off. A female NSA Agent named Taylah Sanders (played by Quintessa Swindell) is assigned to monitor Edward’s actions, and they join forces to uncover the disturbing conspiracy.

Joining the SAG Award-winning actor is a stellar cast, including David Morrissey, Martha Plimpton, Sidse Babett Knudsen, and Jason Flemyng. Completing the line-up are Harry Lloyd, Ali Suliman, Fra Free, and Joseph Mydell.

The Express reports the first two episodes will be broadcast on the aforementioned date, followed by a weekly episode every Wednesday until March 5, 2025.

The series is the brainchild of award-winning writer Steve Thompson, who also serves as an executive producer. It is produced by New Regency in collaboration with Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions.

Leo kicked off his acting journey with a single episode role in BBC’s Holby City, before making a guest appearance in the American horror series Vampire Academy.

His breakthrough came with the character of Jack in the second season of The White Lotus, bagging him the SAG Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Following his acclaimed performance in the show, he took on the role of Dexter Mayhew in the romantic drama series One Day, earning widespread praise once again.

Beyond Prime Target, Leo has an impressive line-up of upcoming projects, including a part in Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy where he will portray the title character’s significantly younger lover.

He is also set to feature in the sci-fi film Nomad, historical drama Nuremberg alongside Rami Malek and Russell Crowe, and the thriller movie Tuner.

Prime Target will air on Apple TV+ January 22 2025.
