BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Woodrow Wilson Flying Eagles and Greenbrier East Spartans collided Thursday in the boys AA R3 S2 championship. The Flying Eagles came in as the No. 1 seed, with the Spartans as the No. 2.
It was scoreless most of the first half until Coby Dillon put in a header to take a 1-0 lead at the 36th minute. In the second half, Woodrow Wilson would stay on the aggression, with Ali Farghaly scoring two goals. The Flying Eagles would go on to win 3-0 and claim the sectional title and will take on the George Washington Patriots Tuesday for the regional crown.
