Looking for the perfect Christmas tipple? Not a fan of whisky and simply bored of Baileys? We’ve got you covered.

Amazon shoppers are raving about an unusual festive drink that you might not have tried yet – but you’ll certainly want to soon. Perfectly smooth and mellow, this Lyme Bay Christmas Mead has been described as “sweet nectar of the gods”, and it’s priced at a very reasonable £20.87.

A traditional alcoholic beverage, mead is made with honey and water, and is sometimes know as ‘honey wine’. Thanks to its “sweet” and “lightly spiced” flavour, it’s considered a “beautiful Christmas drink”, ideal for drinking alone, warmed up, or for sipping with mince pies.

Lyme Bay’s Christmas Mead is gently blended with festive spices like cloves, ginger, orange and anise to make the perfectly smooth and mellow Christmas tipple. Best served gently warmed, it’s a delicious treat to enjoy while putting up the tree, or for offering to guests alongside their pudding and cheese.

Light and sweet, this Christmas Mead contains just 10 percent ABV, so it’s a lovely treat for those who don’t enjoy a stronger drink of wine or whisky. If you’re already a mead lover, then you might want to try Lyme Bay’s wider range of flavours including black cherry, garden mint and ginger.

For those not yet convinced, one shopper had this advice: “Sweet nectar of the gods. Very sweet with a light spice. Honey flavour comes through nicely. More of a sipping drink I’d say, would buy again. Those that like honey liqueur, Glayva and drambuie will like it.”
