Chris McCausland has shared his delightful Halloween tradition with his daughter Sophie ahead of his upcoming Strictly Come Dancing performance.

The comedian and his professional partner Dianne Buswell are set to perform a Samba to the Bee Gees’ Stayin’ Alive on Saturday night, in a bid to impress both the BBC One viewers and judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, and Anton Du Beke.

As the spooky night approaches, Chris revealed how he celebrates Halloween with his loved ones, saying: “I take my daughter trick or treating around our neighbourhood.

“You can always tell the people that are into it as they’ll have a little pumpkin in the window, I think that’s the sign now isn’t it” before joking: “I’ve just got a sign that says stay away!”

Chris also shared his thoughts on ghosts and paranormal experiences, stating: “I don’t believe in any of it. I think if there were ghosts, you wouldn’t be able to see anything else but ghosts. Imagine all the ghost bees.”

In a previous conversation with Gyles Brandreth, the Have I Got News For You star admitted that the idea of having a child initially “terrified” him.
