HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WLBT/Gray News) – A woman was killed Wednesday after the motorcycle she was riding on with her husband went off the road and crashed into a cable barrier.
The crash happened around noon on Interstate 20 near mile marker 28 in Hinds County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
William Owens III, 27, was driving the 2022 Harley-Davidson with his wife, 24-year-old Desiree Owens, riding as a passenger.
While on I-20, the motorcycle ran off the road and hit a cable barrier.
William Owens was taken to UMMC with unknown injuries while his wife Desiree Owens received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The couple was from Redwood, Mississippi.
