Malmo gaffer Henrik Rydstrom has delivered a stark warning to Rangers ahead of their Europa League clash with Olympiacos, claiming the Greek side are a class above them.

The Light Blues – who host St Mirren in the league this afternoon – defeated Swedish side Malmo 2-0 on their own patch on matchday one and followed up the disappointing 4-1 home defeat to Lyon two weeks later by thrashing Romanian outfit Steaua Bucharest at Ibrox last Thursday to boost their hopes of reaching the knockout rounds. But ahead of the Gers trip to Piraeus on November 7, Malmo boss Rydstrom claims that Olympiacos are on another level to Philippe Clement‘s side after the Greeks beat his team 1-0 in Sweden on Thursday.

He said: “I believe we played better against Olympiacos than we did against Rangers at home. But Olympiacos are a level above Rangers too.

“They are a very solid team that works hard and plays well and they had better opportunities than us. Olympiacos were just as good as I thought. They are clearly a quality team.”
