It is possible that alien are ‘here right now’, Elon Musk claimed yesterday.

The Tesla billionaire said that he is often asked if aliens are among us, and his answer is always, ‘I haven’t seen any!’

He said he hadn’t witnessed any green men with antennae on their head, but it was possible they were just ‘very subtle’, joking we might need to develop an ‘alien registration card’.

Speaking at a town hall event in Pennsylvania yesterday, he said that whether or not this was true, humans should become ‘the aliens exploring other galaxies’.

His company Space X has been working with Nasa and brought astronauts back from the International Space Station just last week, so he has more knowledge than most of what may or not be out there.

But earlier this year, he was less enthusiastic about the possibility, saying that he had not seen any evidence of aliens on earth, and his Starlink satellites had never had to manoeuvre around a UFO.

Going further, he said at the Milken Institute Global Conference in May: ‘For some reason, a lot of the same people who think there are aliens among us don’t think we went to the moon, which, I’m like: “Think about that for a second”.’

A big supporter of Donald Trump, Musk has been helping with his presidential campaign to win back the White House, and he made his latest comments at an unofficial event hosted by America PAC to try and win voters in what is seen as the most crucial key swing state.

Musk has donated more than $75 million to America PAC, which he co-founded with fellow Silicon Valley venture capitalists and tech businessmen to support Republican presidential nominee Trump.

The group pledged to give away a million dollars every day until the election to a random person who has registered to vote in a swing state and has signed Mr Musk’s online petition for free speech and gun rights.

Pennsylvania governor Josh Shapiro, who supports Kamala Harris, called Mr Musk’s offer ‘deeply concerning’ and has called for law enforcement to investigate the billionaire, while another law expert added that most states make it a crime to pay people to vote.

In front of a banner reading ‘Vote Early’, Musk pumped his arms and did star jumps before chanting ‘USA’ along with the crowd last night.

After saying he had not personally seen any visitors from outer space, Musk joked that he had seen plenty of ‘illegal aliens’, an American term for an immigrant without correct paperwork, comments met with laughter from the crowd.

He said that he had high expectations for our future understanding of the universe, believing we can ‘make life multi-planetary’.

Speaking of his childhood love of Star Trek and Star Wars, he said: ‘We just want to make this glorious, amazing space future real and have amazing, inspiring things that when you wake up in the morning you’re happy to be alive’.

He confirmed he plans to send the first Starship rockets to Mars in 2026, when planetary alignments make it possible.
