SHADY SPRING, W.Va. – The Boys Sectional final wasn’t the only big event at Shady Spring High School Saturday night.
Just about a half hour later, the girls’ AA-A R3 S2 Sectional final was held between Bluefield and the host squad, Shady Spring.
What looked like it had the potential for a blowout after 2 goals in the first half from the Lady Tigers and a third within the first minute of the second, turned out to be a close one.
After the Lady Beavers put together a comeback that came up being just shy of enough to tie it, Shady Spring held on to win the final and complete the four-peat.
Shady will now move on to the Regional where they will play Charleston Catholic at 5:00 pm on Halloween night.
