A Queens subway rider was bashed in the head with a baseball bat for turning down a panhandler’s demand for a $20 handout, police said Monday.

The 21-year-old victim was approached by the beggar at the Queensboro Plaza station in Long Island City about 11:45 p.m. Sunday, cops said.

The victim said no to a request for $20, at which point the panhandler walked off. But the beggar returned minutes later, punching the victim and striking him with a bat before running off.

The victim was treated at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell for a cut on his head.

The attacker, wearing an orange hoodie and gray pants and carrying a gray backpack, has not been caught.

The bat was not recovered.
