ITV viewers were all saying the same thing about Lulu’s appearance on Tuesday’s Lorraine.
The ‘Shout’ singer not only caught up with Ranvir Singh about her new book but also gave her two cents during the fashion feature and she certainly didn’t mince words.
Ranvir, alongside Lulu, was joined by style expert Dilly Carter to discuss leopard print styles. But merely minutes into the discussion, Lulu felt compelled to share her candid thoughts on the ensembles presented.
Ranvir initiated the segment with: “Fashion. Now, I love a memo. I got the memo. Lulu is here, we’re talking about leopard print.”
Ranvir observed Dilly wasn’t in full leopard print, much like herself, commenting: “You sensibly didn’t go for the full leopard print look,” to which Dilly responded: “We would have blurred into each other.”
Lulu chimed in emphatically: “I have very strong opinions about leopard print; don’t even get me started,” prompting Ranvir to quip, “Well, we will get you started,” reports the Mirror.
Dilly enthused, “This is my favourite week ever because I love leopard print. I mean, we’ve got all our gorgeous celebrities here wearing a variety of leopard print, there are so many different ways to wear leopard print, and, you know, I think it’s a really confident, bold print, and that’s why people wear it nowadays. It’s easy to wear, something you can throw on. We even had Michelle Obama in a leopard print suit over the weekend.”
Lulu interjected: “Did you hear a speech last night, everybody? Check it out. Check it out. Unbelievable.”
Continuing with the segment, Dilly added: “I mean, she looks incredible. I thought she looked really good. So, let’s have a look at some of our favourite leopard print looks. Yeah. So, first of all, we have Jane. So Jane looks incredible in this gorgeous, ruched leopard print dress.
“I think ruching is great, especially if you’re paranoid about your stomach. It, you know, holds you in, it makes you feel more confident, and she’s got a lovely black jacket on with it and a bag.”
“That’s what saves that outfit is that you put a black jacket on the top, on it’s own, too much,[” Lulu commented.
“For a woman of a certain age…” Lulu started to say before Dilly cut her off: ” I actually think that she looks incredible.”
Ranvir then mentioned the “era of Bette Lynch”, which prompted Lulu to respond: “That’s my thinking.”
Fans quickly took to social media to share their thoughts, and many found it hilarious that Lulu was so honest.
“Lulu, calm down,” one fan wrote with a laughing-fave emoji.
Another shared: “#love you #Lulu from fellow #Scot #lorraine.”
“Lulu’s fab and straight-talking. I’d absolutely love her to do a fashion segment! #lorraine #lulu,” someone else wrote while another joked: “Lulu bulldozing the runway segment..”
“Loving Lulu being honest,” a fifth said as another joked: “Lulu couldn’t care less about leopard print.”
Lorraine airs weekdays at 9am on ITV.
