BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – A McDowell County woman has been indicted on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of another woman in May.
Robin Martin-Crawford, 61, of War, was indicted Oct. 22 by a McDowell County grand jury in the death of Patsy Campinella, who was 70 years old.
The body of Campinella was found at a home in the Big Sandy area near Roderfield after a call was received about a deceased person.
McDowell County Sheriff James Muncy said at the time that after arriving on the scene, the deputy asked for assistance when he noticed that it appeared to be suspicious in nature. After further investigation, Martin-Crawford was arrested and charged with murder.
Martin-Crawford remains incarcerated at Southern Regional Jail under no bond.
