Kilmarnock Foal Show Society’s Annual Show of Clydesdales was held on Saturday, October 19 at Ayr Auction Market.

The day was a beautiful, sunny, breezy autumn day so judging was held outdoors with spectators and exhibitors enjoying the fine day.

The Show Committee is indebted to Messrs. Craig Wilson Ltd. for their co-operation and use of the market premises to hold the Show.

Judge for the 2024 Show was Mr Neil Christie, from Balfron, near Glasgow, who is a very well-known face in the Clydesdale world.

The Supreme Championship was awarded to Mr RH Black, Newton of Collessie, Ladybank, Fife, with the 1st prize Senior Filly Foal, Herkules Texas Hold ‘Em which Mr Black brought out on behalf of Mr Christian Paulson (Sweden); while the Reserve Supreme was awarded to Mr Matthew Carrick, Easter Littleward, Kippen, with his eye-catching two year old filly, Littleward Katy, who has won at many Shows over the summer season.

Many in the farming community – and TV viewers – will perhaps recognise Mr Black from the recent TV Series, “This Farming Life.”
