Young Farmers Clubs across Dumfries and Galloway have been showing off their artistic side lately.
They’ve been putting together some wonderful creations for the Scottish Association of Young Farmers Clubs’ annual bale art competition.
This year’s contest was sponsored by Galbraith to help raise awareness for agricultural charity RSABI.
And, as ever, clubs in Dumfries and Galloway rose to the challenge superbly.
Annandale Young Farmers Club’s entry was inspired by the emotions from the hit film series Inside Out.
They decorated their bales by tractor light.
Their display can be seen on the A709 just outside Lockerbie in a field kindly provided by the Spence family.
Lower Nithsdale Young Farmers Club created Moo-tilda the cow as their entry.
It’s been delighting motorists using the A76, with the Austin family at Upper Portrack providing both the field and bales.
Thornhill Young Farmers Club’s entry also had a cow theme and is on the A76 near Closeburn thanks to the Watret family.
Stewartry Young Farmers Club came up with a colourful caterpillar, encouraging people to keep talking.
John Wildman provided the field on the A75 near Ram Hill just outside Castle Douglas, with the bales coming from PRW Farm.
It’s on the old A75 road passing Whitecrook.
