Detectives investigating the alleged murder of John Taylor in Kilwinning have arrested a fourth man.
The 44-year-old was found with serious injuries outside his home on the North Ayrshire town’s Pollock Crescent at around 1.55pm on Friday, October 18. Emergency crews raced to the incident but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives earlier confirmed they were treating his death as murder. A fourth man, 19, has been arrested in connection today.
Two men, aged 26 and another 19-year-old, have previously been arrested and charged in connection with the death. The 26-year-old appeared at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Wednesday, October 23 and the 19-year-old on Monday, October 28.
A 53-year-old man who was previously arrested has been released pending further enquiries. Meanwhile, police inquiries into Taylor’s death remain ongoing.
