NEW ORLEANS (Gray News) – Taylor Swift made a massive donation to a New Orleans food bank during her Eras Tour stop in the city last weekend.
Second Harvest Food Bank didn’t disclose the dollar amount that Swift donated, but the organization said her donation would feed 75,000 meals for South Louisiana families in need.
“When kindness meets action, magic happens,” Second Harvest Food Bank said in a Facebook post. “… This kind of generosity reminds us that making a difference is possible, together, with people who truly care.”
The food bank encouraged others to follow in Swift’s footsteps and donate here.
Swift’s generous donations during the Eras Tour have become commonplace, with the superstar making sizable contributions to nonprofits in each city she has performed in.
Swift has a long history of donating to nonprofits in the wake of natural disasters or tragic events, including a tornado that hit Tennessee in 2020 and a shooting in February 2024 at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade.
In addition, Swift also donated $5 million to Feeding America to support recent relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricanes Helene and Milton.
The superstar also made headlines last year for giving her Eras Tour truck drivers $100,000 bonuses along with handwritten ‘thank you’ notes. The CEO of the trucking company told CNN the “unbelievable” bonuses were “life-changing” for his drivers.
