– With Halloween just around the corner, if you’re planning to take the kids trick-or treating, we got details about some events for tomorrow (Thursday, October 31st, 2024)
Trick-or-treat times for most areas on Thursday night are from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
That includes the cities of Bluefield and Princeton as well as Athens and Mercer County and most municipalities in Tazewell and McDowell counties.
The exception is Richlands, which has set a time from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Trunk-or-treat events will also take place Halloween evening, including in Peterstown at the Christian Church parking lot and at the Tazewell Fairgrounds, also from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
The Bluefield Police Department is having a trick-or-treat event in front of the Bluefield Rescue Squad on Stadium Drive from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., featuring K-9s Thor and Mario.
Princeton’s annual Monster Mash on Mercer Street will also include trick-or-treating, and that event is held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Events there include costume contest, a fire-spinning performance and a champion pumpkin carver.
Other activities at the Monster Mash include a ghost hunt at the Princeton Public Library and music on the Dick Copeland Town Square Stage.
