Netflix viewers have become addicted to a particular mystery series, which some have described as an “absolute masterpiece.”
Earlier this month, fans of the show decided not to gate-keep what has been described as the “best ever” show, sharing their opinions on the Facebook group Netflix bangers.
In one post, TV enthusiasts admitted they couldn’t get enough of the show’s gripping puzzles, suggesting you might even need a “high IQ” to understand it.
The show in question is called Dark, which first aired back in 2017 as the first German-speaking original series developed by the streaming platform.
The synopsis reads: “When two children go missing in a small German town, its sinful past is exposed along with the double lives and fractured relationships that exist among four families as they search for the kids.
“The mystery-drama series introduces an intricate puzzle filled with twists that includes a web of curious characters, all of whom have a connection to the town’s troubled history – whether they know it or not. The story includes supernatural elements that tie back to the same town in 1986.”
Dark currently has an impressive 95% critic score and 94% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, making it one of the highest-rated shows on the streaming giant.
The show features a large ensemble cast, with Louis Hofmann and Lisa Vicari taking on lead roles as Jonas Kahnwald and Martha Nielsen.
Taking to the comments, one fan insisted that the twists and turns of the TV series takes up a lot of brain power, quipping: “It needs a high IQ or else you’ll get lost in the DARK.” (sic)
Sky has brought back its viral free trial, meaning you can bag a Netflix subscription and Sky Stream for £0 for the first month, offering customers a saving of £31.
This means members can enjoy binge-worthy shows like House of the Dragon, The Walking Dead and Bridgerton without paying a penny.

Sky“I asked for a show and they gave me a puzzle to solve ..and after first season I said naaaah…am not ready to rack my brain out,” another admitted.
“DARK. An absolute Masterpiece. And yeah it’s boring for people having low IQ,” one more agreed.
Others heaped praise on the show, with a fan describing it as “one of the best Netflix series’ ever made”.
“What’s the best Netflix original of all time and why is it DARK?” another asked jokingly.
All three seasons of Dark are available to stream now, exclusively on Netflix.
