MAFS UK viewers are in store for another explosive episode as a row erupts between Polly and husband Adam, prompting her to walk out on him.
In last night’s episode (October 30), the couples were tasked with writing anonymous letters to their fellow co-stars, suggesting where each partnership could be improved. It came off the back of partner swap week, where the brides and grooms were shuffled in order to get a glimpse into how other partners treated their spouses.
Adam spent time coupled up with Amy, who insisted he treated her like a “princess”, while Polly was partnered with Nathan. During the swap, Adam shared a bed with Amy, even going lingerie shopping with her, which tweaked Polly’s own insecurities about their relationship and lack of intimacy.
However, in the anonymous letter handed to Polly and Adam, concerns were raised that Adam’s feelings were being overshadowed by Polly’s, bringing the bride to tears as she questioned how she had behaved towards her groom. The letter came shortly after Adam himself had confided in Polly that he didn’t feel his own needs were being met, as she continued to push him for more public displays of affection and intimacy.
Despite Polly’s moment of reflection after reading her letter, the cracks between the pair are only set to deepen in scenes that will air on Thursday night (October 31).
The new episode will show the couples moving in to the real-life homes of their partners. In one scene, Polly is seen cooking for her husband in the kitchen as he shouts to her “I hope you’re not going to make too much mess,” prompting an incredulous look from the bride.
It seems this is only the start of tensions rising between the pair again. In another scene, Adam’s friend asks Polly, “How are you finding married life?”. She bites her lip and replies simply that it’s “hard.”
Groom Adam is later seen telling her: “You’ve just made it sound muggy as f***,” as she jumps up from the sofa, unfinished meal in her hands, and tells him: “Ugh you actually take the p***.”
Things only escalate further as Adam shouts after her: “You’re lucky I carried on this marriage after you did that. Simple as that,” while Polly shouts back: “What is actually wrong with you?”.
“I feel like I’ve really reached my f****** limit,” she tells cameras before she is shown storming out of the house and slamming the door behind her.
