ST. LOUIS (KMOV/Gray News) – A sheet metal worker died after he fell at a construction site at a hospital in St. Louis.
The fall happened Friday at Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration said the man was working from a ladder when he fell 12 feet onto a concrete floor and hit his head. He died two days later.
The man worked for IWR, a St. Louis-based contractor.
The construction company working on the project is McCarthy, which sent the following statement:
OSHA is continuing to investigate.
