A painter and decorator from Airdrie will be off out to paint the town red after bagging himself a £21,000 camera bundle and cash prize in an online competition.
Brian Hamilton won a Nikon camera bundle worth £11,200 and £10,000 tax-free cash in BOTB’s 48hr Lifestyle Competition.
The 23-year-old was at work when he received a surprise video call from BOTB presenter Christian Williams to tell him he was this week’s winner.
“It was the first time I had ever played, so I’m still in shock,” said self-employed Brian, who decided to give himself the rest of the week off.
“I saw the competition come up on Facebook and, because I like to take a few pictures, I thought I would give it a go.”
The dad-of-two said he was considering taking the cash alternative to spend on a family holiday.
“In terms of where we’re going that will be up to my partner to decide, but somewhere like Spain next summer might be on the cards,” he added.
Christian said: “After winning on the first time of playing the competition, you could tell Brian was still in shock, so it’s no surprise he took the rest of the week off work.
“It sounds like he is going to take the cash and head on holiday with his family.
“Having two children, holidays are not cheap, so I’m sure the cash will come in handy and ensure they have an amazing time wherever they decide on going.”
Leading car competitions company BOTB hands over the keys to a stunning dream car each week as well as a lifestyle prize.
It also offers people the chance to win a holiday, cash, tech, cars and more in its Instant Wins Competition.
Founded by William Hindmarch in 1999, BOTB has given away £70m-worth of cars so far.
