A 47-year-old man is clinging to life after he toppled off a truck he was hanging onto in Queens on Friday, cops said.

The victim was riding outside the passenger side of a truck heading west on Astoria Blvd. when he lost his grip and fell near 87th St. in East Elmhurst around 1:06 p.m., police said.

Medics rushed the injured man to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.

The truck did not remain at the scene. It wasn’t immediately clear why the man was hanging onto the vehicle.
