A man has been rushed to hospital following an incident in Edinburgh.
Emergency services raced to St Andrew Square in the city centre after the alarm was raised at around 2.15am on Saturday. An eye witness shared a picture of police at the scene and they told Edinburgh Live they witnessed a man “being treated for head injuries.”
Ambulance crews attended a 21-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment. A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with assault and he is due to appear in court at a later date.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 2.15am on Saturday, 2 November, 2024, we were called to a report of a man having been assaulted in St Andrew Square, Edinburgh. A 21-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment.
“A 20-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with assault and is due to appear in court at a later date. A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
