Inmates at HMP Glenochil have staged their second protest in a week over conditions at the jail in Alloa.
Prisoners held a demonstration on the grounds of the facility in Clackmannanshire on Saturday after an initial protest took place last Sunday.
It is understood that last week’s protest was prompted by inmates calling for more activities after being unhappy about the length of time they spend outside their cells.
The Scottish Prison Service confirmed the demonstration was managed safely.
A spokesperson said: “I can confirm a protest is ongoing at HMP Glenochil, which is currently being managed safely by staff, who will work with those in our care to ensure the security and wellbeing of all.”
