A 29-year-old man was fatally wounded Saturday on a street in a high-crime Brooklyn neighborhood, police said.

Police responding to a 911 call found Aarmani Dawkins with wounds to his neck and stomach around 5:30 p.m. on Pitkin Ave. near a local apartment complex in East New York. He was just a few hundred feet from his listed address, according to cops.

Dawkins was rushed to Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center in critical condition, cops said, but died shortly after.

Police were still searching for the gunman.

East New York and adjacent Cypress Hills are covered by the 75th Precinct, which ranks among the top ten precincts citywide with the most murders this year, according to NYPD numbers.

As of October 27, there were eight murders reported in the precinct so far this year.
