Anticipation is building for the upcoming instalment of Outer Banks season four, with the latest trailer teasing fans with glimpses of the high-stakes adventure that awaits.
Eager viewers are gearing up for part two, set to make its debut on Thursday, November 7, where we’ll see the Pogues embarking on a treasure hunt in the exotic terrain of Morocco.
The gripping midseason finale last month left audiences floored by the bombshell that JJ Maybank (played by Rudy Pankow) isn’t actually the biological child of Luke (Gary Weeks). Instead, he’s the progeny of Chandler Groff (J. Anthony Crane) and Larissa Genrette, who fans had thought perished with her infant in a drowning incident years past.
With the pulse-racing new trailer out, fervent Netflix fans have taken to Reddit to unpack the forthcoming twists, including an intense standoff involving Rafe Cameron (Drew Starkey) and John B Routledge (Chase Stokes), reports the Mirror.
“I was watching the trailer again when I noticed Rafe pulling out a knife on John B,” noted one observant Reddit user.
“This went unnoticed I think bcz I saw nobody talking about it. What do you guys thinks? Will Rafe betray the pogues when he finally gets the treasure??”
Rafe previously appeared on a path to reconciliation with his sister Sarah Cameron (Madelyn Cline) towards the end of the previous season, which may leave some fans baffled at the sight of him slipping back into nefarious ways.
Nevertheless, many long-time watchers remain unsurprised by such developments, given Rafe’s notorious history of endangering the group throughout the series’ earlier seasons.
One fan responded succinctly to the speculation: “That is on brand for Rafe.”
“Not surprised tbh I mean it’s Rafe,” one user commented, prompting a reply from the original poster: “My a** thought he was having his redemption arc.”
“Can’t betray someone you ain’t cool with to begin with. None of this is surprising,” chimed in another.
However, some hopeful fans are speculating that the trailer might be throwing them off, and instead, Rafe could end up siding with the Pogues.

Sky“All I know is a big name is dying this season not sure who I just know someone is but I think rafe is gonna help them actually,” theorised a viewer.
While another surmised: “I think he’s gonna have his redemption episode for sure.”
For now, details are scant with only the trailer to go on, leaving audiences waiting eagerly for a few more days until the release of Outer Banks’ fourth season’s second half.
Netflix teases: “Before they know it, they’re well in over their heads, with dangerous new enemies hot on their heels racing them to the treasure.
“Meanwhile, their problems are only growing, and they’re forced to question their past, present, and future – who they really are, has it all been worth it, and how much are they willing to risk?”
Outer Banks season 4, part 2 will be released Thursday, November 7 on Netflix.
