The Big Brother house was electrified on Tuesday evening as one contestant embarked on a ‘sit-in’ protest after the latest violation of rules.

All inhabitants were put on basic rations subsequent to the losers of the most recent task tucking into items from the luxury budget, against regulations.

Still smarting from Big Brother’s ruling, Sarah entered the diary room requesting sugar for her tea.

Upon being declined, she issued a threat of legal action, reports the Mirror.

Big Brother retorted: “Big Brother will see you in court. Had you not broken the rules, you would be swimming in the stuff (sugar).”

Following this, Sarah settled into the chair and was warned by Big Brother not to get too comfy.

Her claim was that of initiating a ‘sit-in’ demonstration.

Defiantly staying in the diary room, she faced an onslaught of alarm sounds typically used for waking slumbering housemates, complemented by farmyard and construction din.

Dancing defiantly on the furniture, she announced to the lenses: “I’m giving you some sugar, so give me some sugar.”

In a final gambit to drive her out, Big Brother proposed a joke and then played incessant clips of fellow housie Lily’s screams, which ultimately spurred Sarah to exit.

The Halloween-themed shopping task from earlier in the week saw only a select few housemates snagging the luxury shopping budget, while the remainder were consigned to basic rations. Now, due to a rule breach, the entire household is relegated to basics.

Although Sarah wasn’t the first to express chagrin over the rules being flouted.

Earlier, Hannah vented her irritation about the paucity of indulgences, raging: “My stomach is growling, I feel sick and you lot aren’t feeding me – you’re giving me carbs, bread and s**t like that. I can’t even eat it, I’m not a basic ration girl. I’m so serious, I’m not okay!” She even demanded her suitcase, with the intention of leaving Big Brother that very night.

Big Brother intervened swiftly to soothe Hannah, stating they required time to prepare for a housemate’s departure, and suggested: “Big Brother suggests you take the night to think about it and talk to your fellow housemates about how you’re feeling.”

Later in the episode, the final Head of House was decided, with Marcello gaining the title after being placed in the running by Khaled.

It means despite having a controversial time in the house, he is immune to the next eviction and books his place in the final week.

Big Brother continues tomorrow night at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
